New to Tiyatien Health?

New to Tiyatien Health? Please take a moment to check out our work in Liberia.

WHAT WE DO

Africa faces a shortage of 1.5 million health workers. Nowhere is the crisis worse than in Liberia, which was left with just 51 doctors to serve 4 million people after its civil war. Founded by refugees of Liberia's civil war, Tiyatien Health is building a novel network of frontline health workers, employing and training villagers to deliver primary health care in communities too far from hospitals and clinics.

Please read the latest article, published in PLoS Medicine's January 2012 issue, to hear about their work and join their call for international action through a United Nations General Assembly Special Session on MNS disorders.
